How
It was mostly a Reaper Magnum Spoon bite the last several days. with a few fish on silver 8 inch flasher and green Howie flies. The pattern for me yesterday was deeper presentation on 300 copper or downriggers 100 down. A mixed bag of Coho, Rainbow and Lake Trout added to the catch. The big Chinooks are in and around the harbor but very few have been caught. Lakers are coming on Spin N Glows and on magnum size spoons. Reapers and Vulcans made by http://www.badgertackle.com have been working for us. The small silver Vulcan spoon in green, blue or orange has been working on the downriggers for Rainbows. Run them 50 feet behind the ball 25 feet down. I hope this helps. Wire magnum divers are producing with flies set at 2 with 150 feet of line out.
Lake Trout today were on size 0 dodgers and spin n glows at or near the bottom.
Huge 14 to 18 pound Browns were caught last Thursday on 4 color lead core with a Reaper Magnum Peacock spoon.
Rainbows are part of most trips on Golden Diablo spoons in the top 25 feet.
Speed
For all fish speed has been very critical with the colder 50 degree water. A temp break to 52 degrees is at 15 feet. I use the Depth Raider to measure speed and temp at the ball. The boat speed of 2.0 to 2.4 has been best. The faster speed triggered the Rainbow action.
Where!
Fish are in the colder water out over 110 feet. We fished east west out to 150 feet. We did not get out over 150 feet of water yesterday. Have a great fishing season. Let’s go fishing! The fishing was good last weekend. We are finding colder water and schools of baitfish in 30 to 100 feet of water The temp break was down 25 feet to 47 degrees. Chinook numbers were down this last weekend with some five to seven pound Lake Trout picking up the slack. Lakers were active on the bottom in 90 feet of water. Coho are still coming on flasher flies on the wire divers 3 set 130 feet on the line counter. Brown trout were solid on 2,3,4,5,6 and 8 color lead core on boards with regular size Vulcan spoons. The OL Sherbet color was best all season. Chins went for Vulcan spoons in blue/silver or green/silver. Downriggers on the bottom with size 0 dodgers and Spin n Glows are taking the Lakers. Reapers and Vulcans made by http://www.badgertackle.com have been working for us. The small silver Vulcan in green or blue has also been good on the lead cores for exciting Rainbows. I hope this helps.
Lake Trout action was a big part of our catch all week on magnum spoons 100 to 130 down or Spin n glows.
Brown Trout action was hot on small spoons on lead core.
Rainbow Trout were slow hitting Vulcan Dolphin Green and Silver spoons in the top 40 feet.
Coho have slowed down most of them came 70 down on Magnum Reapers Fish N Chips spoons or flasher flies.
Where!
Bait fish are in 30 to 100 I fished anywhere inside of 100 feet in Whitefish Bay. Near shore action on McKinley pier has improved the black Chinooks and a few Browns being caught. How
The fishing Was good all week We are finding pockets of colder water and schools of baitfish in 100 to 180 feet of water. The temp break was down 70 feet to 51 degrees. A south to north troll worked best for us. The currents have been strong at times so watch your Depth Raider or downrigger cables. The blow back on your weights will tell you what’s going on down there. Chinook numbers were up this last week with some large Lake Trout also active 120 down. Chinooks went for Magnum Reaper spoons in blue/silver or green/silver. White or green Howie’s flies also working well run behind a white flasher. The big 20 pounds plus Chinooks were again part of the catch. Wire divers 3 set with 200 feet of line out was the ticket. We also had some excellent days fishing them in the warm water with spoons or flies. Slide Diver are producing with #3 silver J plugs set at 2 with small ring. Run them 70 feet of line out 70 behind the diver .
Lake Trout action was a big part of our catch all week on magnum spoons 100 to 130 down.
Brown Trout action was just ok on the bottom small spoons. One here and there.
Rainbow Trout were slow hitting Vulcan Dolphin Green and Silver spoons in the top 40 feet.

Limits of fish the rule in Milwaukee!
Cold water the key to success. Check out this nice mixed bag of fish caught by Jason and company. To get my fish reports and how to videos first go to http://www.jimhirt.com By subscribing you will keep ahead of the other anglers. When I post you will get it fast by e-mail!
How Chinook
The Reaper Fish N Chip Magnum spoons are best when on 8 color Leadcores. Divers set at #1.5 with 160 feet of line out another option. The only place you will find Reaper and Vulcan spoons is on my web site at http://www.badgertackle.com
How Lake Trout
Action for Lakers has been steady. Same presentation as for Chinooks have been best. Over the last week I have taken Lakers 50 to 70 down over 50 to 70 feet of water. Option #2 Copper and Lead cores are also good. Best action has been in 65 feet of water today
How Coho
Coho have found the 2 and 3 color lead cores with magnum spoons.
Rainbow Trout
Vulcan regular Green Dolphin spoons on 2,3 and 4 color lead core best. They have turned on over the last 2 days. You must fish deep to catch this jumping fish in about 140 feet of water.
Where!
Fish are north or south of Milwaukee. Fish the complete water column for the best action. Set up in 50 feet and fish out to 80 and back in. Fish the gaps at first light is another option for Brown Trout and a few Chinooks. Our best speed was 1.9 to 2.0 mph measured at the ball with the Depth Raider. The current has been strong watch your speed!
Have a great fishing season. Jim charters out of Milwaukee, WI. with Blue Max Charters. He can be reached at 414-828-1094 or visit his web site at http://www.bluemaxcharters.com Copyright© 2015, James J. Hirt, All Rights Reserved.
Milwaukee Fishing Lake Michigan Salmon Report 6/14//2015
By Milwaukee Wisconsin fishing charter Captain Jim Hirt
Chinooks and Coho are in! Fishing Milwaukee!
Out all weekend a 50/50 split on Coho and Chinooks. Badger Tackle Reaper or Vulcan spoons getting it done in the regular or magnum size. To get my fish reports and how to videos first go to http://www.jimhirt.com By subscribing you will keep ahead of the other anglers. When I post you will get it fast by e-mail!
How Chinook
My first choice is first light with glow spoons. The spoons are best when run 100 feet behind the downrigger ball and 25 feet down. Three, four, five color Lead Core are also taking Chinooks. Chinooks being taken in 65 to 100 feet of water anywhere out of Milwaukee. The only place you will find Reaper and Vulcan spoons is on my web site at http://www.badgertackle.com
How Lake Trout
Action for Lakers has been steady for fish in the cooler. Try long lead spoons and SWR rigs 45 to 60 feet down. Lead cores are also a good choice. Best action has been in 75 feet.
How Coho
Get out the flashers with Howie peanut flies. Some scattered reports of Coho being caught on spoons as well. The surface is 53 degrees and the Silvers are 15 feet down to the surface in 40 to 100 feet of water. Our average has been 10 to 12 per trip.
Rainbow Trout
If you have time and good lake conditions try 250 feet of water for good action on Rainbows. Vulcan OL Sherbet Orange spoons on 2,3,4, color lead core best.
Where!
Fish are north or south of Milwaukee. Fish the entire water column in 20 to 100 feet of water for the best action. Our best speed was 2.0 to 2.2 mph measured at the ball with the Depth Raider.
Have a great fishing season. Jim charters out of Milwaukee, WI. with Blue Max Charters. He can be reached at 414-828-1094 or visit his web site at http://www.bluemaxcharters.com Copyright© 2015, James J. Hirt, All Rights Reserved.
Milwaukee Fishing Lake Michigan Salmon Report 5/21/14

Coho provide most of the action in Milwaukee!
Time to get a cooler of fine tasting Coho Salmon. To get my fish reports and how to videos first go to http://www.jimhirt.com By subscribing you will keep ahead of the other anglers. When I post you will get it fast!
How
Coho are coming on small size spoons and crank baits. Reapers and Vulcans made by http://www.badgertackle.com have been working for us. The small silver Vulcan has been hot on the lead cores. Six inch flashers or dodgers with green or blue Howie peanut flies must be part of your presentation for Coho. A hot presentation for us was a size O orange dodger with a 15.5 inch lead to a medium size blue fly. Coho are in the top 25 feet. Steady action on Slide Divers set to #3 no ring and 25 feet of line out. Run all boards with 3/8 ounce keel sinkers. Our fish have been very high in the water column. Speed is very critical with the 48 degree water. I use the Depth Raider to measure speed at the ball. For spoons use the regular size Silver Vulcan. No Chinook yet as we are targeting Coho. The boat speed of 1.9 to 2.2 has been best. Tie your flies 14.5 to 16 inches on 6 inch dodgers, 18 inches for 6 inch flashers. All orange dodgers and flashers. I hope this helps.
Where!
Fish are in close to the break wall and shore line. It can be a crazy in close with all the traffic and it may be better to fish the shore line south of Milwaukee. Have a great fishing season. Let’s go fishing! Note All alone we put together groups at $125 per person. Jim charters out of Milwaukee, WI. with Blue Max Charters. Milwaukee Fishing Lake Michigan Salmon Report 9/21/2013
By Milwaukee Wisconsin fishing charter Capt. Jim Hirt
Weather rough fishing great!
The wind and storms has limited our chances to get out but when we got out action has been good. Let me explain where and why. To get my fish reports and how to videos first go to http://www.jimhirt.com By subscribing you will keep ahead of the other anglers. When I post you will get it fast!
How Chinooks
Harbor fishing has been best at first light or low light with glow magnum Reaper spoons, J-plugs and crank baits. Jiggers and shore anglers are having some success with spawn and jigs. I have also had some fish on white flashers with aqua Howie flies.
On the 20th we had a great trip in 70 to 85 feet of water. All Chins 2,3 and four year olds 30 to 60 down. Magnum Reaper Fish n Chip did well on a 5 or 6 color lead core. Next day was also good but the fish were smaller with no four year olds. I use the Depth Raider to measure speed at the ball. The boat speed of 1.9 to 2.0 has been best.
How Lakers
For Lake Trout magnum Reaper glow spoons presented within inches of the bottom will bring in some hogs with the most running 8-10 pounds. A size 0 dodger and Spin N Glow may be needed on some days. No Lakers the last two days.
Where!
Watch your temperature and fish in 60 or less degrees of water. Fish are marking from 65 feet and all the way out north or south of Milwaukee to 220 feet. Have a great fishing season. Let’s go fishing!
Note I have openings on the schedule. I am the only charter offering an extra hour for $35 when added to any five hour charter. Jim charters out of Milwaukee, WI. with Blue Max Charters.
